About

Most small businesses concentrate on one type of product or an industry. Crafting Wizard is no different in that aspect, except that my crafts are my passion. Or should I say my obsession? Same, Same. I learned how to sew when I was 7 years old. My mother used to make all of my clothing and just naturally taught me. Turning it into a business didn't become a passion until I had 2 children of my own and left the military to become a Momager. The only thing I managed for many years was the household and making sure my competitive children got to the ice rink, gymnastics, or even the pool for swim meets.

The only problem with marketing myself was the fact that I felt like I had ADHD when it came to crafts. My middle name became "squirrel" because there hasn't been a craft I haven't tried (or will try). While I can honestly say that I'm very good at sewing and many other crafts, others I will leave to the experts. But my true passion actually lies with helping others learn.

All crafts are not created equal. I've done knitting, crocheting, jewelry, sewing, painting, making my own ceramics, and so many more! My desires are to share what I know and hopefully learn from others and get stronger in my crafting wizardry.

My background is a Bachelors degree in Business Management/Computer Studies (did I mention I feel like I have ADHD with all of my passions?). My Masters degree is in Human Resources. So while my husband is off working a "real" job, he's allowed me to stay home even though we have one adult child and another now in his last two years of high school. He's very supportive and says to explore my passions. Enter this blog and you'll find tips, tricks, tutorials, and whatever else my crazy mind decides to throw at you.
